Common Law Robbery at M&J Food Mart, Old Haywood Road: Police advised that a white male entered the store wearing a black hood jacket, white gloves, sunglasses and a white scarf over his face. He approached the counter demanding money, but the clerk assumed that this was joke and didn?t respond. The suspect became angry and demanded the money again and stepped closer to the counter and repeated the demand. The clerk was removing the money and the suspect became very impatient starting grabbing the money from her hand then left the store. The clerk activated the alarm then approached the door to get a better description of the suspect. The suspect left on foot headed east on Old Haywood Road and entered into a light colored vehicle. Suspect was not apprehended. No weapon was shown. Amount of cash taken was $868.
